t3 routing - Post Interchange Pickup Points

t3 routing - Post Interchange Pickup Points

The Routing Application supports the concept of post-interchange pickup points.  Routes can be configured as being post interchange - via route properties - and be designated as the vehicles assigned to a particular tour or tours.  This allows t3 and the Routing Application to calculate timing and routing and generate the reports to manage passenger changes at the interchange between routes and vehicles.

The change over of passengers at the interchange would be dependant on the tour(s) assigned to the post interchange route(s).

The diagram below illustrates the idea of a post interchange route.

In the above example the points prior to the interchange are routed and timed as normal, however route P is designated a post interchange route and as a result the pickup points 8, 9 and 10 would be timed away from the interchange.

The example shown only illustrates a single post-interchange route but this is not a limitation, for example the following could be routed, please note the pickup points prior to the interchange have been omitted for the purposes of this example.
