All Ready for BTTS ?

2018 has seen an exceptionally busy start to the year for Roeville with a flurry of new customers and product upgrades. January and February have seen a host of new websites launched from our talented web team with many more currently in the planning and development stages.

This month sees us in attendance at BTTS 2018 (British Travel Trade Show) at the NEC in Birmingham on the 21st and 22nd of March. We will once again take our prime exhibiting spot just inside the entrance to the show and look forward to catching up with customers old and new across the two days. Please feel free to pop by and say hello to one of the team if you are visiting, you will find us on Stand E2 and a copy of the floorplan can be found here.

If you're looking for a new tour booking system or indeed would like to upgrade your existing t28 then please come along and look at the latest t3 system which is now available to operators of all sizes, from the smallest to the very largest.

Our Web Team will also be on hand to show you how WebRes can provide you with a top class 'On-Line Shop Window' and help drive sales in this vital market sector.

There's something too for Coach Operators with our latest release of PHCloud - our new and exciting Cloud-Based System for Coach hire and Contract Operators. Following extensive testing with a range of operators, PHCloud is nearing release and is a must-see for all small to medium sized coach operators.

PHCloud Update

The last few weeks have seen us complete our Stage 1 testing with a select group of operators. The feedback has been very positive and we've received some fantastic suggestions and comments that will help direct our final development sprint prior to launch.

We are looking forward to revealing the latest changes at the BTTS Show at the NEC on the 21st and 22nd of March so if you are visiting please pop over to the stand for a short demonstration.

We are confident 2018 is the year that technology catches up, to help provide 21st century customer service and operations capability that operators have been shouting out for the past 10 years. Roeville intends to be planted at the forefront of this drive and to stick with operators every step of the way.

GDPR Compliance Update

That dreaded acronym is set to become the 'millennium bug' of 2018. Creating hysteria, miss-information and panic across so many different industries. The lack of clear information and guidance has been partly to blame, mixed in with a large number of third party 'compliance' companies jumping on the band wagon in an attempt to cash-in on the new regulations.

What is clear, is that from the 25th May 2018 companies must have an active mechanism for recording marketing preferences of people stored on their mailing list. No longer will it be acceptable to simply store a mass database of customers and mailshot or E-blast at will!

Roeville have dedicated a considerable amount of time and resources into the upcoming update for our t3 and WebRes products to allow our customers to comply with the new regulations as simply and seamlessly as possible. We currently have a GDPR update in test for t3 with a major UK operator. Once it has been fully completed we will be in contact with all our existing t3 customers to provide information, so please keep an eye out for our communications.

WebRes changes are still in development and information regarding this will be released in the coming weeks.

Coach Tourism Association Annual Conference 2018

John and Dan recently spent 3-days at the annual CTA conference and AGM in Blackpool and were delighted to meet so many existing customers plus a number of operators looking to move from traditional paper-based booking systems into the digital world.

We wish all the new CTA Board Members the very best in their new positions and we feel confident this industry has some fantastic talent fighting for its cause.

Our thanks go to all the organisation team at CTA, the Imperial Hotel and VisitBlackpool for putting on a fabulous 3-day event. We very much look forward to next year.

2018 is looking to be an exciting year for both us and our customers. Our dedicated team have been working tirelessly with customers to achieve a range of stunning new WebRes sites. Each site is individually planned and meticulously crafted to meet the exacting needs of business in an increasingly competitive world of e-commerce.

We have customers regularly recording figures in excess of 50% of their tour bookings being taken on-line through WebRes - this can be even higher for day excursions. This reinforces the benefit of a well thought-out web site backed up by intelligent marketing driven from our t28 and t3 reservation software.
